As a concerned citizen, I'm watching issues like economic downturns, inflation surges, and escalating international tensions - notably with Iran - being neglected. The nation's leadership should be focused on resolving these challenges, yet what we see is a governance style that is increasingly self-serving, prioritizing personal image over public welfare.

The presidency is not a lifelong entitlement but a responsibility to uphold the values and well-being of our nation. As our presidents age, it becomes crucial to ensure they maintain the mental and behavioral capabilities required for the immense responsibilities of the office. This is why I propose implementing a mandatory cognitive and behavioral assessment for all presidential candidates over the age of 65.

The intent behind this proposal is not to discriminate based on age but to ensure that those who hold the highest office in the land are equipped to make sound judgments.
