Implement Classroom Cameras in Central unified Schools for Improved Autism Support

The Issue

Currently, many children with autism, in the Central School District, require specialized support for their learning and development. Classroom cameras can play a crucial role in providing this support which is currently missing. These cameras would allow educators, specialists, and parents to monitor the multisensory input that these children receive, facilitating a more personalized learning environment. Studies suggest that video-based teaching methods significantly improve learning outcomes for children with autism (Wong, C., Odom, S.L., Hume, K. Cox, A.W., Fettig, A., Kucharczyk, S., ... & Schultz, T.R., 2015). Urgently, we ask that the Central School District put this measure into consideration to provide optimal learning conditions for every child. This will also keep children safe from predators that may harm non verbal children in their classroom. Please sign this petition to advance autism support in our schools.
