El problema

On June 28th, a deeply disturbing incident of animal cruelty took place in Jieyang, Guangdong, China, capturing the world's attention and sparking widespread outrage. In a shocking act, four minors brutally attacked a mother dog, using a stick with nails, before covering her in paper soaked in gasoline and setting her and her three newborn puppies on fire. The attackers even recorded this horrific crime, showcasing a complete disregard for life and compassion.

Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. It is part of a growing pattern of animal abuse in China, often involving minors who seem to lack understanding or empathy towards animals. Such acts of cruelty highlight an urgent need for comprehensive animal protection laws. These measures are vital not only to deter future atrocities but also to cultivate empathy and respect for all living beings among young individuals and society at large.

Animal protection laws have proven effective in many countries around the world. They offer a legal framework to prosecute offenders, serve as a deterrent against potential abuse, and foster a culture that values the welfare of animals. By instituting similar laws, China can set a precedent for humane treatment and reinforce the universal principles of respect and kindness.

We urge policymakers and government officials to recognize the importance of this issue and take immediate action. Implementing animal protection laws is a crucial step in preventing future cases of animal abuse, promoting societal well-being, and aligning with global standards of animal welfare.

Please join us in advocating for these essential protections by signing this petition. Together, we can amplify our call for change and work towards a future where cruelty towards animals is no longer tolerated.
