I, like countless others, face a consistent and life-threatening issue every time I step onto an airplane. I suffer with a severe nut allergy, an intimidating reality made even worse in an enclosed space, thousands of feet in the air. The severity of my fear is shared by 2.4 million people of the uk who suffer with nut allergies, some not even going on holiday with loved ones and family due to the fear of having a reaction in the sky. Every flight is a game of Russian Roulette, not knowing if there will be nuts or nut products onboard that can trigger a potentially fatal reaction. 

Safety is the main priority for all airlines and they must uphold it for everyone, including individuals with severe food allergies. Banning nuts and nut products on all flights is a crucial stride toward this necessary inclusivity. Airlines such as jet 2 have taken the leap to eliminate peanuts from there planes and make an announcement telling passenger about the persons allergy, but more airlines need to follow suit and extend the rule to all nut products.

After all, no one should fear for their life while simply travelling. Let's demand a change to help protect those with severe nut allergies. Sign this petition to request all airlines to ban nuts and nuts products, ensuring a safe journey for everyone, regardless of dietary restrictions.
