Furthermore, we suggest partnering with home improvement stores to construct larger shelters for dogs waiting for adoption. According to the Humane Society, millions of cats and dogs enter shelters each year nationwide, and locally, an estimated 30,000 stray animals roam the streets of San Antonio. On the other hand, Feeding America reports that one in seven people in Texas face hunger.
