The Issue

The daily struggle to navigate across the traffic at 36th Avenue West and 43rd Street West in Bradenton at the school intersection brings me to share a story that is both personal and a pressing issue for our community. As parents, educators, and residents, our daily routines often include dropping off or picking up our children from school. Yet our paths are plagued with the non-stop traffic at our school intersection. There were times a police officer helped regulate the flow, but their presence wasn't consistent.

Statistics suggest that school crossing areas with stop lights result in fewer accidents compared to unregulated ones (National Safety Council). Moreover, non-stop traffic could be detrimental to the quality of air around school premises, impacting the health of our children. Implementing a permanent stop light wouldn't just alleviate our struggle, it would contribute to the safety and well-being of our children--our future.

So, I urge you all to act. Let us press for a change that promises safety, ease, and a healthier environment for our children. Sign this petition to implement a permanent stop light at our school's crossing area. Together, we can turn our concerns into actions that safeguard our community.

Please do not leave a donation. This is a petition to present to the city council to help Bradenton Christian Schools area to be safer for everyone.
