I have some really exciting news to share.
Our campaign for fairer and more affordable school bus fares has now been featured in the local news! ❤️
The article tells the story behind why I started this petition — the reality of facing thousands of pounds a year in school transport costs and the frustration of knowing that families can be left with very little choice when there is no affordable alternative.
What started as one parent speaking out has now grown into a campaign that is getting public attention and political attention.
And this comes at an important time. Essex County Council is now preparing to take a motion to Full Council to explore ways of reducing the cost of school bus travel for Essex families.
But I don’t want this to stop at Essex.
My petition is calling for mandatory school bus fare caps across the country, because families everywhere deserve protection from unaffordable school transport costs.
We are currently at 1369 signatures, and every single one represents someone saying that this needs to change.
