As a concerned parent in our community, I've seen the risks our children, along with their friends, have to take each day to get to and from school. This daily journey, which should be safe and simple, has unfortunately become a source of distress for many families, influencing our children's academic experiences and our peace of mind.

Therefore, the purpose of this petition is to secure a crossing guard for Lakeland Copper Beech Middle School. This action is crucially needed to ensure the safety of our youngsters. According to Safe Kids Worldwide, most child pedestrian deaths occur in places without crossing guards or intersections. Imploring these safety measures could drastically reduce the danger involved in simply crossing the street to attend school.
