Implement a Comprehensive Park Development in our Neighborhood at 1821 SW 42nd St
The Issue
Deeply rooted in our southwest Cape Coral neighborhood is the desire for a local park. We envision a shared space serving as a children's park for our little ones to grow and delight in, a dedicated area for dog walking for our loyal pets, and a Par Course Fitness Trail for our health-conscious residents. We see the potential for a space to foster community interaction through corn hole games, sheltered pavilions for gatherings, and a couple of tennis courts for those who enjoy the thrill of the sport.
While many neighborhoods are fortunate enough to have such recreational spaces, ours does not. According to a study by the Trust for Public Land, parks are crucial for community health and well-being. Having green space within a ten-minute walk can improve mental health, encourage physical exercise, and build a sense of community amongst residents (Trust for Public Land, 2019).
Given the evident positive impact that parks bring and the strong desire within our community to have this shared recreational area, we urge our local government to take action. We request their support in making this comprehensive park development a reality, creating a healthier and more unified community. Your signature can make a positive difference in our collective quality of life - please sign this petition to support park development in our neighborhood.
