As a concerned member of the CFBISD community, I'm deeply affected by the current situation in our education system. Our teachers are overworked, and our students are under immense pressure. It's gotten to the point that it's hindering the growth and development of our educators and young learners. It's personal to me, as someone who strongly believes that educational reforms can encourage students to push themselves and prevent teachers from resigning. This is why I propose that we transition to a 4-day school week.

This isn't just an idea. Various studies, such as those conducted by the National Education Association, have shown that a shorter school week can lead to improved student performance, reduced teacher stress, and monetary savings on operation costs. However, it is necessary to ensure the quality of teaching is not compromised and students receive the same amount of educational hours.
