Hello everyone,
First, I want to sincerely thank each of you for signing the petition supporting a moratorium on development in Milford. More than 455 people added their names, which shows how many residents care deeply about the future of Milford and the character of our community.
The conversation around responsible growth in Milford is far from over. Many of us are still asking the same question: are we planning for the future, or are we reacting after development decisions have already been made?
After spending the past several years attending meetings, reviewing public documents, advocating for transparency, and organizing around issues like development and infrastructure, I’ve decided to take the next step.
I am running as an Independent candidate for Delaware House District 36.
Milford is part of District 36, and what happens here reflects what’s happening across the district. Growth is coming fast, and many residents feel development is happening faster than our roads, schools, emergency services, and infrastructure can keep up. I believe we need leadership that focuses on responsible growth, protecting farmland and open space, strengthening infrastructure, and making sure the voices of local residents are heard.
I was born and raised in Milford in a working family. My father was a boilermaker, my mother was a nurse at Milford Hospital, and my grandparents operated Brownie’s Bait and Tackle on Route 36 for many years. Today I work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker helping families navigate Delaware’s healthcare and state systems. Through that work, I see every day how policy decisions affect real people.
This campaign will focus on responsible growth, infrastructure-first planning, and ensuring our communities have a real voice in decisions that shape Milford and District 36.
If you signed the Milford petition because you care about the future of our town, I hope you’ll stay involved. This campaign is going to rely on neighbors talking to neighbors and people who care about responsible growth helping spread the word. If you believe Milford and District 36 need stronger advocacy for smart planning and community voice, I would appreciate you sharing the campaign with friends and neighbors who feel the same way.
