The Issue

As a Zimbabwean, I am deeply touched by the suffering of my people under the current regime. Our beautiful nation is experiencing unprecedented turmoil due to gross violations of the constitution by our President, who has allowed state capture by individuals like Tagwirei and Chivhayo. This capture has led to the looting of state resources and assets, including gold, by high-profile figures such as Prophet Uebert Angel, as was reported in the Al Jazeera Gold Mafia exposé.

The unchecked corruption and financial misconduct have paralyzed our state institutions. Civil servants, who play a vital role in maintaining the functions of our nation, are receiving salaries way below the standard, making it impossible for them to lead a dignified life. Our nation's unemployment rate has skyrocketed to a staggering 90%, leaving the majority of our youth without opportunities and hope for a better future.

One of the most severe injustices we are facing is the forced removal of people from their ancestral lands, robbing them of their homes and livelihoods. These actions not only violate our constitutional rights but also strip away the identity and heritage of our people. Another issue of concern is the abductions, torturing and imprisonment of those who dare to oppose the President evidenced by the arrest of journalist Mhlanga (now released) for interviewing Cde Geza a critic of President Mnangagwa. Reports of the President suffering from vascular dementia raise significant concerns about his ability to govern effectively and responsibly, further exacerbating the nation's crisis.

We cannot stand by while our country's resources are siphoned away by those who were elected to protect and serve us. It is time to hold the President accountable for these gross violations and restore the rule of law and justice in Zimbabwe. I urge all Zimbabweans, who deeply care about our nation's future, to join me in calling for the impeachment of the President. Let us unite in our efforts to reclaim our country from corruption and build a brighter, more equitable future for all.

Please sign this petition to demand immediate action and the impeachment of the President to safeguard the future of Zimbabwe.
