I have reached a point where I can no longer stand idly by and watch as the very security of our nation is compromised under the leadership of Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth. This isn't just about politics for me; it’s personal, as I have seen firsthand the detrimental effects of his inability to effectively manage and protect our armed forces.

Pete Hegseth has consistently failed to fulfill his responsibilities as Secretary of Defense, jeopardizing national security. Reports have outlined several instances where military readiness has been compromised. Procurement processes are delayed, leaving our military personnel without critical equipment. Moreover, there have been numerous occasions where strategic decisions have been made that do not align with sound military counsel, endangering both U.S. and allied interests abroad.

Statistics from the Department of Defense annual reports show a 15% decrease in combat readiness over the past year alone, a direct reflection of failed leadership. Furthermore, there have been several whistleblower accounts highlighting instances of poor management and morale among military ranks, pointing directly to Hegseth’s unfit administration.

Since becoming Secretary of Defense, Hegseth has enabled and furthered Trump's impeachable offenses as listed below:

Unlawfully mobilizing military forces against civilian protestors in the United States - enabling the mobilization of Marines and National Guard in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Illegally kidnapping, detaining, and removing U.S. residents - providing military transportation for rapid deportation of immigrants without sufficient due process and against court order

Unconstitutionally usurping Congress’s powers to declare war – coordinating and assisting with attack on Iran without congressional authorization

Unconstitutionally usurping state and local authority – allowing Trump to abuse the power of the U.S. military to punish Democratic-led cities, bypass state and local governments, oppress protestors, and support immigration officials’ assault on immigrant communities in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.

Committing war and humanitarian crimes against civilians in Latin America – carrying out a military strike on a vessel in the Caribbean Sea, in violation of international and maritime law, and causing the deaths of 11 people on board.

We deserve a leader who not only understands the complexities of defense but is also committed to putting the safety and well-being of our soldiers and citizens first. The stakes are too high for inaction.
