“Roe is 45 years old, it has been reaffirmed many times, lots of people care about it a great deal, and I’ve tried to demonstrate I understand real-world consequences,” -Kavanaugh to Susan Collins during his confirmation hearings. 

Brett Kavanaugh straight out lied to the American people when he claimed that Roe was ‘settled law’ and then went on to support its defeat. We MUST hold any and all persons of power to account when they make promises or lie to the American people, eroding all trust in the principles and practices that should make this country a great place. 

This petition directly refers to the now-politicized process of SCOTUS affirmations. Republicans withheld the ability for Obama to nominate a SCOTUS in his constitutional granted power as then-President, then they put forth nominees with Lorrie’s to no court experience and questionable moral positions that contaminate their abilities to perform their jobs without bias towards their own beliefs. Amy Coney Barrett answered so few questions during her hearings, Americans truly had no idea where she stood, and even as SCOTUS now, her activity record is nearly non existent. 

We MUST impeach Kavanaugh for lying to us and revamp the affirmation process potentially with term limits to protect all Americans from activist members on the bench.
