While citizens cannot directly impeach a president, we can influence the process by urging our representatives in the House of Representatives to begin an investigation into the president’s conduct. If enough evidence is found to support charges of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors,” articles of impeachment can be drafted and voted on by the House. If passed, the case will move to the Senate for a trial, where a two-thirds majority vote is required for conviction and removal from office. We must raise our voices, contact our elected officials, and demand they take action to hold the president accountable for any violations of the law and the Constitution. By standing together, we can ensure that justice is served and the integrity of our democracy is upheld.
