We support comprehensive bi-partisan immigration reform

The Issue

As Bermudians we support immigration reform. However, it must be done in a bi-partisan and cross community manner. Rushing this legislation through parliament for purely political reasons is not the correct way to go about this deeply sensitive and historically divisive issue.

Immigration reform has long term implications for present and future generations of born Bermudians in regards to the following issues:-

  • Employment
  • Government and private scholarships
  • Land availability
  • Housing costs
  • Electoral results

Therefore, we are asking for your support in requesting that all Bermudians have a say in any and all forms of immigration reform going forward.

Thank you
