Work visa holders in New Zealand entered the country on the basis that there was a clear pathway to residency. They have settled and inter-grated into New Zealand life, but now their future is uncertain. They are unable to buy houses, join KiwiSaver and their children cannot attend university unless they pay international fees. They are making a positive contribution to New Zealand and deserve fairer treatment. 

Since Covid-19, New Zealand has deferred all Essential Skills Work Visa residency applications until further notice. This jeopardises their place in the country. Sign this petition to prompt a policy change to get residency applications accepted.
