Respected President,
AIDSO Central Council has already mailed our concerns to you regarding ongoing nationwide movement and hunger strike on NEET Fiasco. Along with this, we are also addressing petition to you which shall be signed by citizens of this country.
On behalf of the student community and education-loving people of the country, we earnestly appeal for your immediate intervention in the grave humanitarian crisis stemming from the unprecedented NEET-UG examination failures. The widespread cancellation, subsequent controversies, and immense mental burden have tragically led to the loss of over 20 student lives and left countless others in deep depression. In protest of this systemic failure and the Union Government’s deafening silence, renowned environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk and other demonstrators have been on an indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar for 18 days, with medical reports now warning of his severely deteriorating health. As the government continues to ignore the democratic demands for accountability from millions of students, teachers, and guardians nationwide, we urge Your Excellency to compel the Union Government to break its silence and immediately initiate a dialogue with the protesters to prevent further tragedy.
Demands:
The Union Government must immediately take the initiative for democratic discussions with Sonam Wangchuk and all other hunger strikers.
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must resign.
The completely failed NTA (National Testing Agency) must be scrapped.
