TO UTAH GOV Spencer Cox, UTAH Legislators, UTAH SUPREME COURT Justice Paige Petersen:   

SB69  banning gas chambers in animal shelters has again been defeated in 2022. Due to opposition from two Utah County Sheriffs and NUVAS director Tug Gettling who operates them.  This, despite his promise to convert to humane EBI and after accepting a grant for over $1500 from the Humane Society of the United States!   Animals SUFFER GREATLY in these OUTDATED chambers of horror which have already been banned nationwide!   We the undersigned demand their immediate removal.  If this fails to happen, we will proceed to take all necessary steps to enact a federal law passed and put into place and you will have no other choice but to comply.  We have created this petition with the sincere hope that this situation can be resolved in a practical and timely manner.     For the animals who continue to suffer,  Marcia L.
