We’re getting close to 3,000 signatures. Thank you so much for your support! But we still need more voices to make a real impact.
Our wildlife continues to face serious threats as roads and developments carve through forest reserves and vital forested areas. One major concern is the Pan Borneo Highway, which poses a growing danger to key habitats and the species that call them home.
We must act now as concerned citizens to protect these ecosystems and prevent more tragic roadkills. Please continue to share and spread the word. Every signature counts.
Why not act now for the Pan Borneo Highway?
Excerpt from the article:
The proposed Pan Borneo Highway alignment which cuts through the Tawai Forest Reserve would endanger the Bornean elephant population (endemic to Sabah) in the reserve as well as other protected species such as the Bornean orang-utan, the Sunda clouded leopard, the Malayan sun bear and the Bornean peacock pheasant.
“Events like the one on May 11 will definitely happen in Telupid if nothing is done,” added Dr Nurzhafarina.
This incident in the peninsula serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need to balance infrastructure development with wildlife conservation.
Thank you again.
