El problema

As IMCA-certified Diving Supervisors committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism, we continuously strive to stay up to date with the latest developments in safety procedures, operational guidelines, and regulatory changes.

Despite paying annual membership fees to keep our certifications current, and consistently completing our IMCA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, we face significant challenges in accessing the IMCA Diving Library. This lack of convenient access to essential documents and updated guidelines directly impacts our ability to ensure the safety of our diving teams, especially while working offshore or on remote job sites.

A considerable number of Diving Supervisors work on a freelance basis, often without direct access to a company IMCA account. In these cases, having personal access to the latest IMCA guidance is not just beneficial—it is critical. Frequently, we encounter situations where contractors, clients, or even dive contractors are not fully aware of recent updates to IMCA guidelines. In such cases, it becomes the Supervisor’s responsibility to ensure that the correct and most current practices are followed.

For this reason, we respectfully request that IMCA consider implementing a system that allows active, certified Diving Supervisors to access the IMCA Diving Library directly. This would significantly enhance our ability to adhere to best practices, uphold safety standards, and support the continued improvement of the diving industry as a whole.

Please support this petition so we may formally request IMCA to grant certified Supervisors direct access to its Diving Library.
