Why wasn't Danny chosen to begin with? He's perfect. Who even likes Chris Pratt? Danny DeVito is a New Jersey born Italian American icon with the accent to prove it. I swear, this man was made to play Mario; add on the fact that Charlie Day, his long-time costar on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia will be playing Luigi and we have a recipe for success here. Compare to the conspicuously not Italian Chris Pratt. Not a single Mario or Mario-adjacent vibe emanating from that guy at all. I mean seriously, who's idea was this to cast Andy Dwyer as Mario Mario when we could have Frank Reynolds!? If Chris Pratt is allowed to stay in this role it could mean the largest Super Mario cinematic event in years could be pretty subpar and I just really, really don't want that.
