Demand justice for the torture and death of 30 stolen piglets

Four people, two adults and two juveniles, stole thirty piglets, who were five to seven days old, from the Logan Sow Center in Benton, Illinois. The piglets were than tortured by being repeatedly kicked, beaten, and struck until dead. One piglet was tossed off an overpass to his death.
I can not imagine the fear, pain, and suffering these animals experienced prior to their deaths. I don't want to imagine it.
All four people were arrested and charged with theft and animal torture.
The two juveniles were released to their parents. The two adults, Trenton H. Bennett, 18, of West Frankfort, Illinois, and Brendan A. Shaputis, 20, of Ewing, Illinois, are being held on bond.
We are asking the States Attorney, Evan Owens, to request for the maximum sentences in all four cases.
This type of crime needs to be taken seriously and prosecuted to the fullest extent. Anyone capable of this is a serious threat to society, both human and animal.
As we all know, animal cruelty is too often times taken lightly, especially where farm animals are concerned. We want to send a clear message that the torture and killing of any animal, farm or domestic, is not acceptable.
These four individuals showed zero mercy to the baby pigs they ruthlessly tortured and killed. I would like to see zero mercy shown upon them in court.
Please join us in demanding justice for the piglets who died at the hands of four cruel and heartless people. Thank you.
