On 23 August 1992, 21-year-old Tammy Jo Zywicki was abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered. Her killer has never been identified and is presumably still at large.

While we understand that some sensitive information about the case must be kept confidential, an official statement from the Illinois State Police (ISP) with basic facts about the case, its current status, and any new developments will renew public interest. This may have the additional benefit of generating new tips that are of value to law enforcement.

Therefore, we hereby formally request that the ISP issue an official press release detailing the above, in addition to providing guidance on how the public can best assist law enforcement in finding Tammy's killer.
