The biggest issue confronting the College of DuPage isn’t the severance package offered to President Brueder, financial controls, infighting amongst the board, or even finding its next leader. Instead, the trust that has been broken between the community and the College needs to be earned back by the board and next administration.

We believe an independent audit, conducted by an outside entity, will help everyone understand where the College spent taxpayer resources, whether proliferate or necessary. 

An audit will provide a blueprint for the next board on what went wrong, but done in a way that allows it to remain focused on the future, not mired in finding past fault. An comprehensive audit will provide the catharsis the College needs.
