STOP! over-vaccinating Dogs and Cats with The Rabies Vaccines ..Less is More!

Many states, towns and counties are overvaccinating dogs and cats with the Rabies Vaccines, by requiring pet owners to have them vaccinated on a yearly schedule. Several states including Wisconsin, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, California, and Washington require rabies vaccination once every three years. However, states like Illinois require the rabies vaccination every year. Researchers are even questioning the need for frequent vaccinatons due to the strees placed on our pets' immune system. Even the once every three years can be to much for our pets immune system.

Many studies have been conducted on this matter, and we now know that the rabies vaccines can last in our pets immune systems for 5-7 years. Maybe even longer! Some say even a Lifetime from a single shot!

Lawmakers should be changing the one year rabies vaccines requirement to a one rabies vaccination every five-seven years on all cats and dogs in every state in the US. This would include every county, and town within that state.  Furthermore, after the first initial shot is given, subsequent rabies vaccinations would only be given if and only when it becomes necessary for that individual pet. Blood titre testing should be done every five years to determine if the rabies vaccination is necessary. (A Titre or Titer is a blood test that measures antibody levels)

Instead of shooting up our beloved pets, there should be mandatory limitations to the number of rabies vaccinations given to each individual pet. It should only be administered once until it becomes necessary.

It is unnecessary to have these pets go in for a yearly shot that can cause many health issues of vaccine failures, side effects and adverse reactions.
