Animal Testing harms over 100 million innocent animals in the United States yearly, and is unnecessary due to other more effective ways of testing cosmetics. Not only are these animals harmed through testing, but most times there lives end at the laboratory. California has recently passed a law banning the sale of cosmetics that are tested on animals and this will begin in January of 2020. This should become a federal law, but as of now we should work together to ban this in our state! 

Animal testing has been proven to be unnecessary in 2019, as many companies and universities have found alternative methods that have proven to be more effective. New technology has been found that makes testing of cosmetics more cost and time friendly. The majority of United States citizens have shifted to more of a lifestyle that involves technology on a daily basis to be more efficient in their lives, and the shift from animal testing to new technology in cosmetic testing can be seen in the same way.
