I speak on behalf of nearly 100 owners at this time that are a part of IHG as well as  Hilton and Marriott.

We are all facing extremely difficult times ahead with no immediate financial plans of action. To date, all upcoming reservations have been cancelled leaving the hotel industry in utter shambles and chaos with hotels in all cities across the globe  shuttering operations.

Owners are seeking immediate financial restitution and a 12 month deferral/ re-negotiation on all franchise fees immediately. As history tends to repeat itself, objectively we can draw our own conclusions in that- the corporations will receive the billions in bail out while the corporate officers retain position with little to no immediate financial impact.It is the owners who will shoulder and succumb to this financial burden. The hotel owner is the spoke in the wheel of the hospitality industry, therefore by not placing them at the forefront of these crisis negotiations will lead to unprecedented financial repercussions felt for decades to come.

We are all voicing for an immediate financial plan of assistance to help with operations for the coming months to mitigate further detrimental impact.
