This is important since career and livelihood of more than 3 lakh Engineers/Technologist with AMIE graduates (IEI Alumni) are affected by the withdrawal of recognition by MHRD Government of India from May 30,2013.

The Institution of Engineers (India), 98 Years Of Relentless Journey Towards Engineering Advancement For Nation Building by its outcome of IEI Alumni-Graduates. 

Its likely that most employers in India will be requesting for new recognition for AMIE Degree from AICTE after the said date.This will affect both new as well as past pass out Engineers as they won't be eligible for Engineer position. Many of past AMIE Engineers have achieved exemplary position in Engineering society and this recognition is very much necessary for pending AMIE. Also many have already completed their Master and Phd in Engineering from IIT and NIT and have secured very respected position in engineering community at Government of India (Central,State, Public Sector and Private in India and Globe) without any other additional degree before pursuing AMIE.We would appreciate your timely action regarding the matter. MHRD has issued misleading circular on 06 December 2012 mentioning that AMIE recognition will be withdrawn on 30 May 2013. AICTE has been requesting for another full time degree prior to start of AMIE.It doesn't makes any sense due to age limit in Engineering jobs in India and those who are working already. Please intervene in this issue as AICTE has shown insufficient interest regarding the pending request for AMIE recognition.This is affecting more than 3 lacs AMIE Engineers. 

And make them alive of those experienced IEI Alumni professional (Who are all MADE IN INDIA for nation building) by approving MHRD and AICTE. We can't compare with normal college students (who is having MHRD with AICTE) with our professional IEI Alumni's. But we are the only one having maximum strength of engineering IEI Alumni's for national building.
