In the past, Green Day's fan club presale tickets have been sold directly through the Idiot Nation website. This was an excellent means of selling tickets because it ensured presales were exclusive to Idiot Nation members. For the Cleveland House of Blues show they were sold through Ticketmaster via an online access code. This method was useless as the access code was posted hours prior to the sale and it was quickly shared amongst the public on social networking sites. Many non-members got tickets they were not entitled to, leaving actual members at a loss and disgruntled with their membership. The free shirt is nice but many of us join the club solely for the ticket presales. If the public is able to obtain tickets during presales, why should we continue renewing our memberships?

This petition has been created in hopes that we can shed some light on the issue and bring it to the attention of the Idiot Nation administrators. Please sign if you were one of many Idiot Nation members that feels as though you were screwed out of a ticket. Green Day has always been there for us and seeing them in a small, intimate venue is a life-changing experience. Let's rally together as fans and ensure this presale issue will not reoccur with future limited-sale shows at small venues.
