Turner Syndrome is rare genetic condition, (affecting approximately 1 in every 2,500 girls), that can lead to serious health complications such as heart defects, hearing problems, diabetes, and more -- requiring specialized medical care and ongoing support for effective management. 

Despite the significant impact it can have on health and quality of life, Idaho's Medicaid program within the Department of Health and Welfare has not recognized Turner Syndrome as a qualifying/eligible criteria for Medicaid services/programs.

We believe that no family should have to face financial hardship on top of the emotional stress caused by this diagnosis. Recognizing Turner Syndrome as a qualifying condition for Medicaid would provide much needed relief to affected individuals and families across Idaho.

The Idaho Turner Syndrome Foundation is actively reaching out to Idaho Legislature to advocate for change.
