Let's be realistic about the upcoming DOOM.  From a gameplay perspective, it looks absolutely fantastic.  Lots of demons on-screen at once, great character designs, fast movement, nasty finishing moves, loud and powerful weapons, and hellish environments.  A true return to form for the legendary franchise.  ID Tech 6 is an incredible engine and the game will undoubtedly look amazing.  However, as one user at imgur has pointed out, the game can look better without the yellow filter.  Just take a look at these screens via the link-

Impressed?  You should be.  The brighter colors really let those screens stand out, so kudos to andritsu for those.  Mortal Kombat X suffers from a similar problem in my opinion- the filter mutes colors and stops a game that looks impressive from being jaw-dropping.  We want DOOM to do better.  Gameplay is king and graphics to match are icing on the proverbial cake.  Hence, this petition for a toggle option for the filter.  Purists and others may believe the game looks best with the filter or want to play it that way because that's how the team intended it to be played, and that's perfectly understandable.  Others may find that the filter detracts from the visual experience.  A toggle option makes for a perfect compromise.

ID Software and Bethesda, we respectfully ask you to add this option to the game either at launch or post-release via patch.  You've proven that you listen to fans and can deliver exactly what we want in terms of gameplay and are offering what appears to be incredible mod support and customization options.  Please give us this as well.
