Protect Bio Diversity: Declare Panje Wetland as Bird Sanctuary

For long we have been campaigning to keep Panje wetland in Uran, across Mumbai harbour, free of any construction and destruction. Today, thankfully, the wetland has plenty of water and flamingos which skipped the area this year, so far this year, are back now. We need to remind the Environment Minister to keep the wetland free of Navi Mumbai SEZ and development by local planner CIDCO and finally declare it as a bird sanctuary.
The Indian Government should accord it the status of Ramsar Wetland.
