Recycling and reusing to save us economically and environmentally!

During this Covid-19 pandemic, many school going children and adults are spending more time at home to curb the spread of the infection. While at home, people tend to eat more and throw away more garbage with plastic containers included.

Instead of throwing the plastic bottles and tins, how about converting them into useful items such as flower pots, planter gardens, stationery holders, and various holders rather than purchasing them from the stores. This will save costs especially with the current financial hardship caused by job losses and salary cuts due to the pandemic. 

Increased periods of staying indoors can cause boredom and mischief. Recycling, designing, and decorating the plastic containers into useful items will increase creativity and occupy minds of people staying at home derailing them from idol minds and its consequences. This too can be a source of income.

Plastics containers fill up the dump sites, landfills, and water bodies which pollutes our environment. They do not decompose and interfere with our marine life when they make their way to the water bodies.  Getting rid of plastic containers are baby steps towards improving our environment and making the world a happier, healthier, and safer place to live in.
