I transport kids to basketball games and if this rear right shock goes through the rusted tower or shock mount the wheel well will fall on the tire causing who knows what type of accident maybe even killing me or the passengers! 

They want around $300 for the replacement part then you have to.search all over to find a decent welder to weld it costing hundreds more dollars!  This is definitely a defect and ford should be responsible for replacing the part  or even installing it.

WHAT CAN WE DO??? 2008 WITH 102000 KM on it what a joke! Your don't even know it's rotting or rusting out because they spray sealer over it. THEN when you get it rust check or undercoat ed ever year it covers the problem more!

FORD I PAID $30,000 in 2008 for this car I feel it is your responsibility  to replace it!
