As as driver, I want seat belts to be made mandatory on buses for drivers in relation to the Orpington bus crash in November 2019 where one bus driver lost his life due to a driver later convicted of Death by Dangerous Driving. Surely, as a legal standard all drivers should be supplied with seat belts to at least have the opportunity to protect themselves. Why should bus drivers feel like they are unprotected against others that are driving? It is an awful thing we have to drive a vehicle everyday at up to national speed limit without seat belts, and yet we still do this in order to support the public. I hope you can support this movement and provide safety to the people that transport hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people a day across our country. We do what we do because it matters so much and this has been proven so much during the Covid-19 pandemic. Safety is now such a big thing in our lives and I want it to continue into our future.
