My name is Cody Curry, and I’m asking for your support in bringing light to a case where clear medical evidence is being ignored.
On June 6, 2024, I had a seizure while driving home from class. I was disoriented, denied proper medical care, tased by police (I still have a taser scar on my back), and later hospitalized for five days (including 24 hours in the ICU) with a brain bleed. I have no recollection of the event, just a 24-hour gap in my memory. Reportedly, I was acting violent and that’s why such force was used. I've been able to put some of the pieces together based on witness and police statements, as well as medical records from that day. However, months later, on October 15th I was randomly surrounded and arrested. I was told there was a warrant for my arrest. While in the Brevard County Jail's bail court, I had another seizure in front of Judge Kimberly Musselman. When I came to, the sheriffs said that I was acting violent and aggressive, but they weren't going to add charges.
I've been going to a neurologist to get to the bottom of this issue, and I am currently on seizure medications.
Now, the court is calling the evidence “circumstantial,” and I’m facing serious charges that stem from a medical emergency, not a crime.
If you would like to look at the case for yourself, here’s the link to public records:

I’m working with medical professionals and gathering evidence to fight this. But I need your voice too.
If you believe in justice and accountability, please sign and share this petition. I am working to get my case dismissed, and your help means a lot to me.
