Stop irresponsible reporting The Telegraph
The Issue
Apropos the article titled "Marty's Rites" in your Kolkata edition dated 7 Jan 16. The Armed Forces community and even the countrymen of this country would like to compliment you on achieving and hitting the new low of journalism. The article not only smells of ignorance, illwill, lack of intellect but also some calculated mischief and malice against the great institution named the Defence Forces of India. The absence of the authors name itself is testimony to the intention of causing hurt to the professional Armed Forces of this country. The people of this country would like to question the expertise of your author on matters best left to the military. His irresponsible remarks like taking a martyr to task for laying down his life for the nation unfortunately inhabited by ungrateful morons like him needs to be immediately apologised for. I understand the compulsion of commercial competition which seems to matter more than patriotism and respect for those who laid down their lives for the country but there needs to be a bar to the level to which u can stoop down to. Your newspaper needs to apologise immediately if you and your editorial team have even an iota of intellect, conscience and patriotism left in you. Regards
