Recent allegations by The Globe and Mail about real estate agents using assignment clauses for personal profit are harming our professional reputation. The media claim that some in the industry are damaging clients by exploiting clauses that were designed to protect buyers' interests. The public is understandably concerned.

I think it is important to stand together with my real estate peers for professionalism in our industry. Therefore, I sign this pledge to fully disclose contract assignments and the identities of assignees, and not to take a personal interest in the property of my clients for personal financial gain.
