Dearest friends.

Last night (after watching the tally inch closer & closer) we finally hit our primary target of 10000 signatures.

Im deeply grateful for the support you’ve all given me. There were times when I was ready to quit….but something compelled me to continue. On reflection, it wasn’t an arbitrary target or whether or not our politicians would take the petition seriously. What really drove me on was the fact that all of you were having conversations and raising awareness of veterans’ issues. Myself and many others will be in your debt.

At this stage I will await the interim findings of the Royal Commission into Defence/Veteran Suicides (due this Thursday) and then try to distribute the petition when vets are at the peak of the news-cycle.

As a result - any signatures we get over the next couple of days will consolidate the efforts we’ve made. If we could all find just one more signatory each, we’d crack the 20k mark. This would be a voice that would be hard to ignore.
