Hi everybody.

Things have been a bit slow on the petition front over the last week or so. I’ve made a point though of not providing distracting updates while our supporters on the east coast have been battling torrential rain and floodwaters. I pray that recovery is underway and they’ll find relief soon.

It is significant that today is the 80th anniversary of the Kokoda Track campaign. This was the day when brave Australians saved us (literally) from invasion. Many today will reflect upon their service, sacrifice and legacy - while quite unaware that the current PM has shown abject disrespect for our current generation of vets by dumping the Veterans’ Affairs portfolio from his cabinet.

During your day today, if you get the chance to discuss the commemoration of Kokoda (and the enduring freedoms we enjoy as a result) I’d appreciate it if you could share the details of this petition.
