Hi friends.

Over the last couple of days our media has been awash with reports of the disgraceful behavior of Mr Adam Bandt and Sen. Lidia Thorpe with regards to our flag.

While I can’t (technically) speak for all former and currently serving ADF members, I do know that there is a pervasive culture in the ADF that respects and honours the symbolism, sovereignty and sacrifice associated with our flag!

It was instructive to see our PM in the media today saying (words to the effect) that “I am proud to stand before the flag”. This is a great statement and I’m hopeful he’s sincere in this. 

Where I do have an issue though is that it’s disingenuous to express pride whilst (simultaneously) not respecting the men and women who have protected Australians who enjoy peace and prosperity under our flag. This is why our campaign must continue!

When it comes to our signature tally, (sadly) things have really slowed. We’re on the verge of 8.7k - but I have a sense that we won’t be able to invigorate things until somewhere between 10k-15k. Please keep sharing, you’ve all been a wonderful support to me.
