Dear supporters,

While our petition continues to grow, I’m excited to share that my new charity to support Victorian injured patients and advocate for reform on their behalf was launched on 6 December 2022. If you or your family member has been injured or tragically died because of an error in your healthcare, please visit the FairCare Alliance and join us!

Our members receive guidance, free legal advice, links to free financial counselling and a closed support group. The FairCare Alliance vision is: ‘Fair and coordinated support for Victorians harmed in the healthcare system’ and aims to:

·       Build a community and a strong voice;

·       Improve public awareness and information;

·       Arrange subsidised support;

·       Advocate for reform.

Severely injured patients should be recognised as a trauma-exposed population needing coordinated and subsidised support from the moment they are injured. The FairCare Alliance will advocate for this and more. There are already calls for Vickie’s charity to expand nationally - please donate so that we can make a real difference for injured patients and their families NOW! 

The recent media coverage of our petition has resulted in almost 1,000 more signatories, which means that this issue resonates strongly with Australians who care about healthcare and justice. We are so grateful for your continued support. Thank you!
