Huw Edwards paid a convicted paedophile over the course of months to receive Category A images of a child 7-9 years old, after being in contact and meeting the paedophile over the course of years. It is highly unlikely Hew has not contributed to the abuse of many more children, especially given his financial power. It is embarrassing, disgraceful and horrific to not punish paedophiles to the same extent the victims suffer, and to an extent that can at the very least act as a deterrent for such a overwhelming urge for these men amongst us and our children. Finally, the victims will be some of the most vulnerable children so we need to stop being barbaric by letting this slide. Compassion for Hew at this point is depraved in itself.
