We, the undersigned, respectfully petition for the reinstatement of HUHS Varsity Boys Ice Hockey Coach, Jacob Grout. 

Resolved:
- Communications from parents to coaches/Administrators about team matters need to follow guidelines prescribed in the HUHS Student Athlete Handbook.
- Communications from coaches to players need to follow guidelines prescribed by the HUHS Student Athlete Handbook.
- The communications at issue in this matter did not adhere to these guidelines.
- However, the termination of Coach Grout is a disproportionately harsh response.
- There is no rule requiring mandatory dismissal in this case, at the exclusion of all other remedies.
- Imposing this most severe of remedies unjustly stigmatizes Coach Grout and unfairly hampers his ability to repair the rupture.
- The Community owes Coach Grout the chance to effect this repair and, through years of community service and youth hockey coaching, Coach Grout has earned the right to do so.

Accordingly: The undersigned urge immediate action to reinstate Coach Grout as the HUHS Varsity Boys Ice Hockey Coach and to reaffirm the HUHS Student Athlete Handbook communications policy.
