The pedestrians in Huonville badly need at least one pedestrian crossing, in the centre of Huonville, near DS Cafe & Salamanca Fresh. The DS Cafe has become a main social centre where many people meet one another & people cross the main road to get to their car, in the car park opposite. 

This would increase the safety of all of the pedestrians & accommodate people who have to cross the road with children, push chairs, walking frames, dogs & carry shopping.

It is essential for elderly people who are unsteady on their feet or have severe mobility problems & for those who are disabled or have impaired vision.

It is becoming increasing difficult & dangerous to get across the main road, as the volume of traffic going thru the centre of Huonville is steadily increasing. 

It would also accommodate all those who struggle to cross the main road, as they go from the DS cafe to get to their car, in the car park & those who cross the road with walkers & push chairs & dogs & children with their shopping, to meet friends at the cafe.
