Huntington Beach: Support Johnny's Saloon in their Support for Veterans!

The Issue

Johnny's Saloon Was Ordered to Remove Sign Supporting Veterans, Say NO

Johnny's Saloon located in Huntington Beach was challenged by the City of Huntington Beach when they were ordered to take the sign supporting the Veterans down. Sign this petition and help us keep the sign up.

This petition was started to reinforce the First Amendment and to support the practice of free speech, support the locals as well as the Veterans, to keep the spirit of the city of Huntington Beach alive, and to sustain the integrity in the community.

If you support this petition, you support the veterans that live here, the Veterans that have been along Highway One, and all those who are serving. Huntington Beach is home to many Veterans and many of those who support them. Taking the sign down is a threat to the spirit of this city and all of Johnny's Saloon customers and its affilates. Johnny's Saloon is a local destination for the community and we, the community support Johnny's, as much as Johnny's support us. Johnny's Saloon has spent $1,000 supporting Marine 3/1 Marathon and The Surf City Veterans Day Car Show. As a resident of Huntington Beach, it would be shameful to see this sign get taken down, and especially without a fight. With oversized billboards and inflatable characters all around the city, a sign with a postive message that provides support, should not be taken down. As an American, it is appauling that the city oppresses this small business with fine of $960 simply for practicing their FREEDOM of expression. By signing this petition, you defend the right to the freedom of speech.
