Sign this petition to mandate a special season or a full outlaw of "crossbows."

Archery or bow hunting is a challenge of both skill and animal.  Archery hunting should be defined as using a weapon that mandates "drawing" a bow or similar device.  

The lack of a rest, stock, tripod, scope, the requirement of movement and holding weight in the close presence of an animal is what offers fair chase and separates archery and gun hunting.  

Over the years crossbows have hurt age structures of animal groups by allowing less educated and experienced  hunters begin to hunt earlier.  The lack of practice and ethics in these hunters has caused an increase in wounded deer and falling buck populations due to earlier seasons and the ability to bait.  

Unless a person is medically incapable or under the age of 16 years old rifle bow hunting should not be an option.

Rifle bows are advertised as rifle accuracy and range now.  Plus they make men look like little fairies.
