We are asking the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to reconsider the June 3rd decision to adopt the revised Guiding Principles to the Humboldt County General Plan Update.

We feel that this decision should be reconsidered because insufficient time was available for public review and comment on such a significant change in language.

We respectfully ask that the Board of Supervisors honor the diversity of Humboldt County and make a sincere, transparent, and robust effort to articulate and adopt guiding principles that are broadly inclusive.
