The World Must Act Now to Protect Imran Khan's Life, Rights, and Immediate Medical Safety

We express our profound concern regarding the health, safety, and fundamental rights of a world leader and former and real Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi.

Information surrounding his current deteriorating condition in illegal incarceration, no access to independent medical care, and restrictions on transparent family and legal communication raise serious humanitarian and human rights concerns that warrant immediate international attention.

We call upon the Government of Pakistan, its judiciary, and relevant authorities to:

1. Ensure Independent Medical Oversight
   
   • Imran Khan’s family, including his sisters and sons, to select the hospital and its location for any hospitalization.
   • Permit doctors appointed by his family to participate fully in his medical evaluation and treatment.
   • Guarantee that all medical procedures occur under transparent and independently monitored conditions.
2. Guarantee Immediate Access and Transparency
   
   • Provide unrestricted access to legal counsel and family members.
   • Allow international medical observers or representatives from reputable global medical bodies to verify his condition if necessary.
3. Ensure His Safety and Right to Life
   
   • Publicly guarantee his physical safety while in custody.
   • Prevent any forced medical procedures without informed consent and independent oversight.
4. Call for Immediate and Unconditional Release
   
   • We call for the immediate and unconditional release of Imran Ahmad Khan Niazi from illegal incarceration.
   • If Imran Khan and his family consent, facilitate:
     • Issuance of necessary travel documentation.
     • Arrangement of a fully equipped medical air transfer if required.
     • Treatment at a world-class medical facility of his and his family’s choosing.
